So you know when you get that ahHA Moment... the one when you realize something that you KNOW you KNEW all along...,but just didn't know it? when you have an idea or an inspiration...but you have no clue what it is? or how to make it happen?
Well recently I had a brain storm in my head.....
I have mastered the art of creating a shabby chic cottage style home. It is comfortable and lovely. The beauty of this IS.... I do not shop RETAIL ( RETAIL = Bad Word in my vocabulary) I get stuff at Goodwill and garage sales.... and read TONS of cottage and romantic home magazines. I scour websites and blog pages and google shabby chic thousands of times every week so my brain is conditioned has absorbed all things "SHABBY" for years...I have stored inages of the lovely magazine pages in my head and NOW I can pick out a piece of vintage fabric in a bin the size of a mac truck in a thrift store lol...
I spend so much of time striving to recreate what junk and stuff that I have.... into what I SEE in the magazines and to JUST be creative...that I have begun wondering.... how to allow all the captured beauty that I have inside me... to escape. So far I have only used my talents in MY OWN home decor, my entertaining habbits, my collecting.... But Honestly...I have a BIG house folks.... and it is getting pretty FULL.
But I can't stop!!!! ALL my nagging obsessive voices in my head share my need to shop at thrift stores, garage sales and look through other peoples stuff on the curb or in retail dumpsters lol....and ultimately.... my need to make things pretty" conquers my reasoning. And once again...I am dragging something home.
I seem to have an "eye" for good stuff. I can pick out a vintage treasure in a box of dirty dusty crap in a dark musty basement sale....when no one else even looked in it.....and with my skills, clean it up, add a bit of lace... and make it into something wonderful. Or so I am told at least. So unless my friends are all pulling my EAR. I have some sort of talent.
So I have opened an "Etsy"... where I may showcase my "stuff" and use my God given "Eye" to accomplish many things...
